Injuries in the Workplace Can be Handled Two Different Ways: Reactively or Proactively
Unfortunately most companies rely on a reactive response to on the job injuries which means nothing is done until an injury has already occurred. A proactive approach to safety in the workplace focuses on injury prevention. Keeping employees healthy, flexible, and strong dramatically reduces the chance of strains, sprains, and other soft tissue injuries. Identifying potential ergonomic concerns can play a vital role in the prevention of repetitive motion injuries such as tendonitis and carpal tunnel syndrome.
Proactive Injury Prevention offers a wide array of services specifically designed to keep your employees safe and healthy:
- Beginning Stretch & Flex - Covers basic stretches to be done before/after work. Primarily covers shoulders, arms, hands and wrists. Focuses on the prevention of repetitive motion injuries such as tendonitis and carpal tunnel syndrome.
- Advanced Stretch & Flex - Designed to be done at home, these exercises stretch and strengthen the back. Emphasis placed on the lower back and lumbar, since that is where most soft tissue back injuries occur.
